We do things differently at Cordery – and the people who work at Cordery need exceptional skills to put our clients first.
Our lawyers and compliance professionals must have world-class compliance experience and have a track record of advising some of the world’s largest companies on the things that matter most to them. We’re also committed to change, to using our experience and the content and technology of LexisNexis UK to make what we do more efficient and our client’s lives easier. And in Cordery Labs we have a part of our business dedicated to changing how compliance advice is delivered. There are some examples of this approach in the Solutions section of our website and all of our team are used to innovation.
Our clients and their problems are at the heart of what we do. All of our people need to have excellent communication skills and must be able to demonstrate that they’ll go the extra mile to help a client out.
Flexible Working is in our DNA
When Cordery was set up, we knew that we would want the flexibility to be able to work from home. We invested in the technology to enable us to do that. Our plug and play systems allow us to work anywhere – in the office, from a client’s premises or at home.
Working together
We don’t have any current vacancies but we’re always interested in working with lawyers with a following who want to be part of a leading specialist compliance practice. Our lawyers can work wherever or whenever they choose subject to meeting our client’s needs, our core professional responsibilities and the standards we expect. We’re particularly interested in hearing from lawyers with skills in our key areas including:
- Bribery & Corruption
- Cybersecurity
- Data Protection
- Investigations
- Modern slavery
- Sanctions
We’re also interested in chatting to lawyers with an established reputation in any aspect of compliance with an established practice in the UK. We’ve a great reputation for our GDPR work and we’re especially interested in lawyers with experience of advising on GDPR issues.
We’d consider part-time and lawyers who would like to work for us from time to time to suit their lifestyle and our workload. We’re interested in talking to lawyers who want to get ready to step away from full-time practice and want to ensure that their clients are looked after.
We’re focused on compliance and we’ve established a great reputation for what we do. Clients know us for our timely advice and our sharp focus and we build on our reputation with timely client alerts (you can see examples here https://www.corderycompliance.com/news/) and films (see www.bit.ly/corderytv).
We don’t have minimum billing quotas and we look to be open and transparent with all of our people. We focus on work-life balance and we’re flexible. We’re open on fee arrangements too.
If you think you might have what it takes, and you have a reputation to match, do get in touch.
For some roles we use Taleo from Oracle to help us with the recruitment process. Oracle America, Inc. was a participant in the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework which has now been struck down by the European Court. You can see more details of their Privacy Policy at www.oracle.com/legal/privacy/services-privacy-policy.html and we’d advise you to read that before submitting any personal data to us via Taleo.
We are sorry but we don’t take trainees or interns at the moment.
