The Society of Corporate Compliance & Ethics 3rd Annual European Compliance Institute will be held in London on 29th March -1st April 2015. SCCE’s European Compliance and Ethics Institute provides an invaluable opportunity to learn the latest practices for effectively addressing challenges facing the European compliance and ethics community.
Jonathan Armstrong of Cordery will be joined by David Longford of Data Guidance to present a session entitled “Data Security Technology 101 for Compliance Professionals” which will cover:-
- how EU and US businesses and the regulatory authorities are dealing with current cyber security risks and threats, including the most recent regulatory developments on both sides of the Atlantic
- the new roles and responsibilities of the Data Protection Officer, the Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer, and the Chief Technology Officer under the proposed EU Data Protection Regulation, including innovative strategies for resolving conflicts
- practical steps and “best practices” on how to instruct business employees and the global supply chain, identify ethical issues, and reduce cyber risks
The Cordery team will also be there to chat through European compliance issues in an informal setting. We’re a proud supporter of SCCE and have presented programs on data protection, bribery & corruption, sanctions and the right to be forgotten.
If you are attending the conference please do stop by our stand where we’ll have articles on the latest issues in compliance.
