Jonathan Armstrong will be speaking at the Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics (SCCE) 11th Annual European Compliance & Ethics Institute in Amsterdam on 20 March 2023.
He will join a panel with Kevin Paterson of Insight and Mary Shirley of Fresenius to discuss ESG, Greenwashing and Supply Chain Risk: When “good” goes “bad.” The panel will discuss the latest thinking on the relationship between ESG and compliance. There’s a history of corporations doing bad things when they planned to do good. For example the switch to green energy has led to issues with the sourcing of wind and solar energy products (see https://www.complianceandethics.org/greenwashing-power-modern-slavery-esg-part-1-the-risks/). The panel will look at some of these issues with practical tips for your compliance strategy.
The SCCE is a member-based association for compliance and ethics professionals worldwide and across all industries. Founded in 2004, SCCE has more than 7,000 members around the world. The European Compliance & Ethics Institute attracts members and delegates from across Europe, Africa, the Middle East & North America.
